Walking Dead’s Lynn Collins in production of Lucy in New York City
By Renee Hansen
Fans of The Walking Dead will remember well the character Leah, portrayed by actress Lynn Collins. Leah began as a love interest for Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus). She would then be discovered to be a member of the Reapers, a hostile group of survivors, and she would eventually betray Daryl. Collins recently shared that she will star in a play titled Lucy that will be featured at the Minetta Lane Theater in New York City.
Lucy will run for a four-week engagement at Minetta Lane, with Brokke Bloom portraying Mary, a mother who hires Ashling, played by Collins, a nanny who is a busy parent’s dream. Ashling has great experience, is professional, and possesses a warm sunny attitude. But soon after hiring her, things begin to feel a bit off for Mary. Is it stress and lack of sleep causing her to question her sanity, or is Ashling’s outward appearance hiding something?
Charlotte Surak portrays Lucy, Mary’s child, and the play, produced by Audible Theater, is written and directed by Erica Schmidt. Lucy runs from January 27 to February 25, with tickets available online. Audible members can receive discounted tickets for the performance.
