Does Maggie die in The Walking Dead?

Maggie Rhee (née Greene) was first introduced in The Walking Dead series in season 2. She was the daughter of Hershel (Scott Wilson), whose farm Rick (Andrew Lincoln) took Carl (Chandler Riggs) to when he was shot and needed care. Maggie took off on horseback to retrieve Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), who was unaware that her son had been shot. Throughout her time on the series, she undergoes many changes. Does Maggie survive the series finale?
Portrayed by Lauren Cohan, Maggie would be the lone survivor of her family after her father’s death in season 4 and her sister Beth’s (Emily Kinney) in season 5. She suffered greatly, and this weighed on her for quite some time, but she rallied with the help of her husband, Glenn (Steven Yeun), and her newly formed apocalypse family.
She would eventually become pregnant, a child who would carry on her family legacy, and then suffer another blow with her husband’s gruesome death. Soon after her son’s birth, whom she names Hershel after her father, she leaves the community of Hilltop.

Did Maggie die in The Walking Dead?
The Walking Dead concluded its storyline in November 2022, and Maggie was a survivor. Fans knew Cohan’s character was safe due to the announcement of a spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, that will see her reprise her role as Maggie.
Cohan left the series for a short time and returned during season 10.
While she was gone, she and her son Hershel (Kien Michael Spiller) worked with Georgie’s (Jayne Atkinson) group to help plant new communities. They were hounded by a group called the Reapers, who would attack and destroy what they built, requiring them to move on.
When she arrives just in time to save Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) from the Whisperers, she has some new friends, the Wardens, with her. This results in season 11 beginning with a war with the Reapers to retrieve much need food stories for Alexandria. This is also a revenge mission for Maggie and her group for all the lives the Reapers took from them.
Although the flagship series has concluded, several spinoffs will carry on The Walking Dead universe. The Walking Dead: Dead City will be the first newly released spinoff in 2023 and will feature Maggie and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in a new mission to Manhattan. Her son Hershel (now played by Logan Kim) will be abducted and Maggie will need Negan’s help in securing his rescue.
The Walking Dead: Dead City will air new episodes weekly on AMC on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET. AMC+ subscribers can watch new episodes three days early on Thursdays.
