It’s no surprise that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will play a badass in The Boys

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is well known for his numerous roles throughout his career. He is best known for his role on The Walking Dead as Negan, the former leader of the Saviors. Love the character or hate him; this is due to the talent Morgan brings to the character making him a believable villain. Fans of Morgan’s have longed for the day when he would lend his talents to Prime Video’s The Boys, and the fans have been rewarded.
Morgan will portray an unnamed character in the fourth season of the Eric Kripke-created series. Kripke and Morgan previously worked together on Supernatural, another creation of Kripke’s, that saw Morgan as the patriarch of the Winchester family. The Boys will also reunite Morgan with his good friend and actor Jensen Ackles, who plays Solider Boy in the series. Ackles portrayed Morgan’s son, Dean, in Supernatural.
Kripke and Morgan have teased fans about Morgan joining the series for quite some time. With The Walking Dead series conclusion in November 2022 and filming wrapped on his spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, it was a perfect time for him to join a new franchise.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan to play a badass in The Boys
Actor Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir in The Boys and also stars in the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia, talked with The Movie Dweeb and chatted about the upcoming season of The Boys and Morgan’s inclusion.
When asked to describe Morgan’s character in the series Mitchell had this to say:
"“I would say his Sun sign is ‘badass,’ and his Moon sign is ‘You don’t even want to f—ing know.’ I don’t know how much can be revealed about that character, but I think the cool thing about this show is we’re always going in different directions and showing you different storylines and different characters in ways you wouldn’t expect, so I think that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is going to play a role that stays with fans for a long time.”"
Fans of Morgan are very excited to see what he will bring to the series and what his character is like. He will join the ranks of other Walking Dead actors who have also starred in The Boys.
