Fans of The Walking Dead have an exciting year ahead. Several spinoff series are in the works that will carry on the stories of several characters from the flagship series. This includes Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who will see a drastic change in their stories as they head to Manhattan in The Walking Dead: Dead City. The duo recently talked to ENews and teased character crossovers between the series.

The Walking Dead universe is no stranger to crossover characters.  There have three from TWD to Fear the Walking Dead and one from TWD to The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Viewers saw Morgan (Lennie James), Dwight (Austin Amelio), and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) move to Fear TWD and have made themselves fixtures within that series. In the second spinoff, World Beyond, fans would see Jadis/Anne appear as Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes. She was a member of the CRM (Civic Republic Military), who traded Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jadis cross to Summit (the Rick & MIchonne) series.

Could other characters also crossover into other spinoffs?

An ENews interviewer asked Cohan and Morgan if Dead City would crossover with any other spinoffs. Cohan began by saying, “There’s hope of a collision.” Morgan added that since they are all on the same timeline, it is fair to say there is an opportunity to cross characters from another show.

They couldn’t state for certain, but even Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon in a spinoff of his own, has teased about not knowing what familiar faces could appear in his series. It is exciting to think that familiar characters could appear alongside the already-announced characters for these spinoffs.
