Fear the Walking Dead will return to AMC on May 14, 2023, with part one of season 8, which will be the series’ final. Many fans are anxious to see if Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) will make a return for the final season, but there is another character who could also reappear in the last chapter of the series. Althea, played by actress Maggie Grace made her final appearance on the series in season 7. Will she return for season 8?

Introduced in season 4, Althea was a journalist who interviewed people to chronicle their stories before the outbreak. She continued this after the outbreak in honor of her brother, who died while she was chasing a story. She carried the guilt of not being with him when he died.

When she first met John Dorie (Garett Dillahunt) and Morgan Jones (Lennie James), she traded ramen and cigarettes with the men holding them captive. After this, she told them they owed her, and her repayment was interviews with each of them.

Fear the Walking Dead will Althea return?

Like the flagship series The Walking Dead, which ended in 2022, fans longed to see the return of favorite characters in a final season. Althea didn’t die, she chose to be with her girlfriend Isabelle (Sydney Lemmon), a soldier in the CRM (Civic Republic Military). Due to their actions, the couple would likely be on the run after events in the season 7 episode “Reclamation.”

During part 2 of season 8, there will be a seven-year time jump, so it is possible that Althea could find her way back to the group. It would be nice to see her and learn what she has been up to since she departed from Morgan and the rest. She’s likely been through significant events if she and Isabelle were on the run from the CRM.

If you don’t know, there is a group of webisodes titled The Althea Tapes, which chronicles some of Al’s interviews during her journey. You can watch these on YouTube.
