Actor and screenwriter Lennie James is well known for portraying Morgan Jones in The Walking Dead universe. His character is one of four who crossed from one franchise series to another. He is also well known for another role in the BAFTA-winning series Save Me, a British drama written and created by James.

Deadline reports the Sky is in the process of developing a third season for Save Me. Production of the additional season is dependent on James’ availability. The first two series, Save Me and Save Me Too, rate as some of  Sky’s most successful, and the second won the BAFTA for Best Drama series in 2021.

The crime drama follows the story of James’ character Nelson “Nelly” Rowe, who is searching for his estranged daughter, who has gone missing. The second series finds Nelly at a crossroads as he gives up his freedom to protect someone who was sold to a sex trafficking ring.

Save Me and Save Me Too are available to stream on Peacock.

What else does Lennie James star in?

James has been a cast member of The Walking Dead universe since his appearance in the pilot of the flagship series. His journey would eventually make him the first character to cross from the main series to the spinoff Fear the Walking Dead. Fans long to see Morgan’s reunion with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and are hopeful that Morgan will appear in the Rick and Michonne (Danai Gurira) spinoff, Summit.

He is also known for his roles in Snatch, Colombiana, and Blade Runner 2049. Next, James will star in the series Genius: MLK/X. This series is a Disney+/National Geographic collaboration that “will explore the formative years, pioneering accomplishments, dueling philosophies and key personal relationships of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X.”
