Sarah Wayne Callies in The Company You Keep, release date and more

Sarah Wayne Callies portrayed Lori Grimes, the wife of The Walking Dead leader Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), in seasons 1-3. Lori was a hard character to like, but that only means Callies did her job well. Love or hate her, Lori had one of the most brutal deaths of the series. It was heartwrenching to watch her give her life up so that her unborn child could live. Wayne Callies has had many memorable roles during her career; now, Deadline reports will add another to that list in the ABC drama The Company You Keep.
Sarah Wayne Callies, James Saito, Tim Chiou, Freda Foh Shen, and Felisha Terrell have all been announced as leads in The Company You Keep and join previously announced Milo Ventimiglia and Catherine Haena Kim. The pilot is directed by Ben Younger and written by Julia Cohen, who executive produces with Ventimiglia and Russ Cundiff.
This series is based on My Fellow Citizens, a South Korean series with over 30 episodes. Ventimiglia plays Charlie, a con man to Kim’s Emma, an undercover CIA officer who unknowingly complicates their professional relationship with one night of passion.
Callies plays Charlie’s bossy big sister, Birdie, who co-owns the bar they run as a front for their family’s illegitimate business. A single mother to a deaf daughter, Birdie has commitment issues, is an expert at all things technical, and will do anything to keep her family safe.
The Company You Keep will premiere on ABC on Feb. 19, 2023, and will stream on Hulu.

Callies will always hold a spot in TWD Family’s hearts for her role as Lori. But, she has an extensive list of roles she has played throughout her career.
She is among the list of Walking Dead actors who have starred in at least one of the Law & Order series, with her appearance in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She has also starred in Tarzan (TV series), Prison Break, The Long Road Home, Colony, Council of Dads, Unspeakable, and Letterkenny.
She also created a scripted podcast titled Aftershock. The story is a dramatic thriller set in LA after the largest earthquake in US history. The quake has killed hundreds of thousands of people and caused an island to form off the coast of LA. Three Walking Dead actors join Callies as cast of the podcast, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Austin Amelio, and Tovah Feldshuh. They are joined by Stranger Things’ David Harbour, with Tati Gabrielle, Janel Parrish, Russell Hornsby, Rockmond Dunbar, Bethany Joy Lenz, Michael O’Neill, and EJ Bonilla. Next, Callies will lend her voice talents as a character named Dr. Stravinsky in a project titled Valara. According to IMDB, this project has “10 incredible and dark tales; it explores humanity’s response to a singular and devastating global event.”
