Walking Dead actor Steven Ogg cast in BBC Boiling Point sequel

Deadline reports that actor Steven Ogg has been cast in a new role in BBC’s Boiling Point sequel series. Known for his portrayal of the brutal Savior named Simon on The Walking Dead, Ogg will now play a sous chef in the sequel series.
The series will pick up six months after the events of the one-shot Boiling Point movie. Movie director Philip Barantini will direct the first two of the five-episode season, with James Cummings returning to write. The original is an expanded story on the same title short Barantini directed in 2019.
The movie
BAFTA-winning actor Stephen Graham starred in the original short and film and will return for the series. Also returning are Vinette Robinson as Carly and Hannah Walters as Emily. Ogg will play sous chef Nick, who works in Carly’s restaurant midway through the season.
The series also stars Ray Panthaki (Freeman), Gary Lamont (Dean), Áine Rose Daly (Robyn), Taz Skylar (Billy), Daniel Larkai (Jake), Stephen McMillan (Jamie), Hannah Traylen (Holly) and Izuka Hoyle (Camille).
What else does Steven Ogg star in?
In addition to Simon on The Walking Dead, Ogg is well known for his roles as Sobchak in AMC’s Better Call Saul and Rebus in HBO’s Westworld. Recently he starred with fellow Walking Dead actor Jayson Warner Smith in the Will Smith Apple TV+ movie Emancipation. Other recent titles include Snowpiercer and Sprung.
Ogg has several upcoming projects, including The Ghost Trap, which will reunite Ogg with TWD’s Xander Berkeley. Other upcoming titles include Now I See with Snowpiercer co-star Annalise Basso, Hazard, The Dresden Sun, Civil, Dark Match, and Orgami.
