Fear the Walking Dead’s Colman Domingo actor, director and producer

Award-winning actor Colman Domingo is well known in The Walking Dead universe for his portal of Victor Strand on Fear the Walking Dead. The first spinoff of the main series, Fear TWD, will premiere its eighth and final season on AMC on May 14, 2023. Domingo began his time in TWDU as an actor but has also served as a director and producer.
In season 1, episode 5, “Colbalt,” Victor Strand was introduced when he is seen in a cage with Nick Clark (Frank Dillane). Strand bargains to keep Nick in the cell with him, noting that he is a heroin addict, which makes Nick a survivor, a skill Strand needs. At one point, he tells Nick the only way to survive the mad world is to embrace the madness.
Always a man of mystery, Strand himself is a survivor. He had acquired great wealth before the outbreak, which is evident by the cut of his suit, his jewelry, his gated estate, and his luxury yacht, the Abigail. He calmly conducts himself and is always looking out for number one.
As the story comes to a close, Strand has survived to season 8, and only time will tell what his future holds.
Fear the Walking Dead – Colman Domingo
Domingo has done an outstanding job portraying Victor Strand throughout the series. Love or hate him, Strand is, without a doubt, a survivor who quickly adapted to his new surroundings.
During his time in the series, Domingo would step behind the camera and serve as a director for three episodes.

- Season 5, Episode 3, “Humbug’s Gulch”
- Season 6, Episode 3, “Alaska”
He wasn’t the only actor to direct; Lennie James, who plays Morgan, would direct three episodes, and Alycia Debnam-Carey, who played Alicia, would direct one.
Recently Domingo shared on his Instagram story that this time on Fear TWD would also see him serve as producer for the series. Although Fear TWD would mark the actor’s first foray into directing, according to IMDB, he has been a producer on other projects.
