It’s been a wild year for fans of The Walking Dead Universe. From the mothership show ending to many announcements regarding spinoffs, the world we have become so engrossed in is far from over. There are a whole bunch of new stories coming our way!

Spin off series Fear The Walking Dead is set for the return of the eighth and final season commencing May 14. Filming of the Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) spin-off, Summit, is underway, and it is speculated for a 2024 release. And recently, a date for the new Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) spin-off set in New York City, titled Dead City, was announced on social media, with the pair returning in June.

Fans can expect to see the new series catching up on the pair’s adventure in the coming months, and their relationship will undoubtedly reach new heights. We cannot wait to see it! But how can fans in the UK follow the next steps in Maggie and Negan’s journey?

Is the Walking Dead: Dead City streaming in the UK?

It isn’t always easy to catch TWDU content if you can’t access AMC. Some series haven’t left the platform, so many fans are yet to see adventures, such as the spin-off series Tales of The Walking Dead. However, in some cases, some of the other shows, such as World Beyond and Fear TWD, were available for UK fans on the Amazon Prime platform.

With TWD mothership show being available to fans on Disney Plus in the past couple of years, there is a chance that Dead City could be added to this platform so it is paired with the flagship series. If this is the case, episodes should be added one day after their US air date, then weekly until the season ends. This, of course, would be an ideal and easy way for fans to view the episodes – however, as of yet, no details have been confirmed for how fans in the UK can stream it.

Dead City will focus on Maggie and Negan going to save her son, Hershel, after he’s been taken. They arrive in Manhattan, home to walkers and new communities who call the city home. Fans can get a sneak peek of a little bit of what to expect over on TWD’s official Twitter here.

It’s no secret Maggie and Negan aren’t best friends, which begs the question, why have they gone on this journey together? Both are powerful fighters capable of surviving in extremely tough situations and trying environments. However, Maggie expressed several times to Negan that she would never forgive him for what he had done to Glenn.

Even after Negan saves Hershel and seems to redeem himself as he rebuilds his life with Annie and becomes an expected father-to-be, Maggie has reservations about trusting a man who took so much. So it’ll be intriguing to see if she changes her mind in any way. But setting out on this journey together, they must believe in one another.

I, and many other fans, cannot wait for all to be revealed and for the next chapter in TWDU journey. And I hope for us UK fans, the series will be added onto Disney Plus so we can all enjoy the series together, and hopefully, there will be updates on this soon. Roll on the spin-offs!
