Walking Dead actress Alicia Witt joins cast of Longlegs horror thriller

Actress and singer-songwriter Alicia Witt, known for her role as Paula on The Walking Dead, has been cast in a new role. Deadline reports that she joins the cast of the new horror thriller Longlegs, which is currently filming in Vancouver.
The film is written and directed by Oz Perkins, the son of Anthony Perkins, and is known for I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016) and Gretel & Hansel (2020). Nicolas Cage produces with Dan Kagan, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan, and Chris Ferguson.
Witt was announced, with Blair Underwood, and the pair are joining Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe, who were previously announced. Cage plays an elusive serial killer whose case is assigned to a talented new FBI recruit, Monroe’s Lee Harken. When she discovers a personal connection during her investigation, she must race against time before the killer finds his next victims.
There has been no release date set for Longlegs.
What else does Alicia Witt star in?
Witt began her career in David Lynch’s Dune (1984). Lynch would later cast her in Twin Peaks, in a role he created for her, Gersten Hayward, and again in his Hotel Room HBO Trilogy.
She has also starred in season 7 of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, adding her name to the long list of Walking Dead actors who have starred in one or more of the Law & Order series.
Other roles she is known for include Cybill, The Sopranos, Ally McBeal, Last Holiday, Friday Night Lights, Justified, and Orange Is the New Black. In addition to Longlegs, she will star in another upcoming thriller, Fuzzyhead, which is expected to release in 2023.
