Jon Bernthal to reprise Frank Castle in Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+

Walking Dead and We Own this City actor, and podcast personality Jon Bernthal is well known for many roles throughout his career. His role in The Walking Dead as Shane Walsh is considered his break-out role, which led to many other amazing projects. Hollywood Reporter reports that Bernthal will reprise his Marvel role as Frank Castle in the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again.
Details are scarce for the upcoming series, but it is reported that the first season of Daredevil: Born Again was ordered for 18 episodes and will premiere in the spring of 2024. The series is written and produced by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, known for Covert Affairs.
Bernthal would be introduced as the father-turned-vigilante Frank Castle in the Netflix version of Daredevil in the second season in 2016. This would lead to his playing the titular character in the Netflix series The Punisher from 2017-2019.
He will be joined by Daredevil actors Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who will also reprise their roles. Cox will again play the attorney by day/crime fighter by night, aka Matt Murdock, and D’Onofrio as mob boss Wilson Fisk. Kingpin. Additional cast includes Michael Gandolfini, Sandrine Holt, and Margarita Levieva.
Daredevil: Born Again will begin filming in New York in March 2023 and air on Disney+.

Bernthal is also well known for his roles in The Wolf of Wall Street, King Richard, Baby Driver, The Accountant, Small Engine Repair, and more.
In addition to Born Again, he has two other upcoming projects. It was recently announced that Bernthal joined the cast of Ana DuVernay’s upcoming film, Caste. He will star alongside Aunjanue Ellis, Niecy Nash-Betts, Vera Farmiga, Nick Offerman, Jasmine Cephas Jones, and Connie Nielsen in this film, an adaptation of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson.
He will also star in the action comedy Snow Ponies with Evan Peters, Josh Gad, and Charlie Plummer.
