How is World Beyond connected to The Walking Dead?

With so many spinoffs within The Walking Dead universe, it is often difficult to understand the connections. The three new spinoffs currently in various stages of production are all direct spinoffs, but Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and Tales of the Walking Dead are set in the same world but tell their own stories. How does World Beyond tie to The Walking Dead?
World Beyond is the second spinoff in TWDU set ten years after the outbreak. This series was ordered as a limited two-season series, a coming-of-age story about a group of teens who have only known life in the apocalypse. They grew up surrounded by walls that kept them protected from the undead, so when they were required to venture outside those walls, they had a tough time acclimating.
The series is set in Nebraska at the Campus Colony on the grounds of what was once known as Nebraska State University. Campus Colony is a small satellite of Omaha which is part of the Alliance of the Three, which also included Portland and the Civic Republic that would later be revealed to be located in Pennsylvania.

World Beyond connects to The Walking Dead
The most significant connection to The Walking Dead series is the CRM (Civic Republic Military). This is the military branch of the Civic Republic. The CRM is the organization seen in other TWDU series signified by the three rings.
The CRM is who Jadis/Anne (Pollyanna McIntosh) traded people to for supplies in TWD series. This is also the group whose helicopter rescued her and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) in season 9 of that series. Jadis would appear in season 2 of World Beyond and confirm that she used Rick as her ticket into the CRM. She worked her way into a high-ranking position as a Warrant Officer.
The CRM would also show up in Fear TWD when Al (Maggie Grace) meets Isabelle (Sydney Lemmon), a soldier in the CRM. Isabelle would turn on the CRM, and when last seen, Al and Isabelle were being hunted by the organization.
In the final episode of The Walking Dead, Rick is seen wearing a CRM jacket and holding a CRM culling facility weapon. An unseen helicopter had found him, and it appeared he would be recapturing him as he was an asset to them.
The upcoming Rick and Michonne (Danai Gurira) spinoff, Summit, will focus heavily on the CRM. Jadis will probably return to this series, and it will likely give more information than ever on the CRM. As Michonne searches for Rick, she will find clues that lead her to the CR.
