Walking Dead universe actress Danai Gurira to present at the Oscars

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress Danai Gurira is well-known in The Walking Dead universe for her portrayal of the badass katana-welding Michonne. Gurira is a woman who is always on the go and involved in many projects and events. On Sunday, March 12, she will be a presenter at the 95th annual Academy Awards ceremony.
The ceremony is held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and broadcast on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. This year’s Oscars are hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, which marks his third time as host of the event.
Guirira will be in attendance as a presenter and in support of her movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which is nominated for five awards. These include Angela Bassett for Best Supporting Actress, Original Song, Makeup and Hairstyling, Costume Design, and Visual Effects.
This writer is very excited to see what Gurira’s gown will look like because she is always stunning on the red carpet!
Danai Gurira – Rick and Michonne spinoff series
Gurira is currently filming in New Jersey for the Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne spinoff series Summit. This series is a direct spinoff of The Walking Dead, a series that concluded its story in November 2022.
The new series is a limited series with six episodes that will release in 2024. Summit is described as an epic love story between the apocalyptic powerhouse couple who have been apart for many years. Fans of TWD are excited to find out how these two characters are reunited after being apart for so long.
Gurira has another untitled Wakanda project listed in her upcoming projects. Fans of her character Okoye can’t wait to see what’s next in her story.
