Fear the Walking Dead is the first spinoff in The Walking Dead universe that will premiere its eighth and final season on AMC on May 14, 2023. The last season will release in two parts, each with six episodes, and at some point in the final chapter of this series, the story will experience a seven-year time jump.

The seventh season saw the return of fan-favorite Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), who had been thought dead since season 4. She and long-time TWDU character Morgan Jones (Lennie James) were making their way to the mysterious PADRE, which was long thought to be a haven. The recent teaser for Fear TWD season 8 gave fans a first look at PADRE, and it appears to be anything but a sanctuary.

Executive producers and cast members of Fear the Walking Dead will attend a panel at Wondercon on Saturday, March 25, at 2:30 p.m. PDT (5:30 p.m. ET).

The Walking Dead: Dead City

Dead City is the first direct spinoff of The Walking Dead series. This story will see the continuation of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) stories as they travel to Manhattan. The pair seek to rescue Maggie’s son Hershel who has been abducted by the criminal elements who reside there. Somehow Negan is the key to securing Hershel’s return.

This series is scheduled to make its debut on AMC in June 2023.

Executive producers and cast members of The Walking Dead: Dead City will attend a panel at Wondercon on Saturday, March 25, at 1:30 p.m. PDT (4:30 p.m. ET).
