Actor Jayson Warner Smith will always be remembered by fans of The Walking Dead as the Savior named Gavin.  Level-headed and ruthless when necessary but also diplomatic, Gavin could have made a great ally to Rick and crew after the fall of the Saviors, but he was killed by Henry in season 8. Smith recently posted about a new project he is involved in, You’re Killing Me.

The horror thriller is directed by Beth Hanna and Jerren Lauder and was written by Walker Hare and Brad Martocello. The film was released in select theaters and on VOD on April 7, 2023. Check it out on AppleTV and other streamers.

The story follows Eden, a high school girl looking for a recommendation for an elite university. She attends the coveted “Heaven or Hell” party hoping to get said recommendation from the influential parents of a classmate. Things quickly go south, and she ends up fighting for her life.

Jayson Warner Smith – other roles

Jayson Warner Smith has a new short film Chipper releasing soon, and he will attend the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival April 12-19, where the film celebrates its world premiere.

He has several upcoming projects, including a sci-fi series, Verified, a thriller, Squatters Rights, and another horror Sebastian. 

If you have yet to watch the thriller Devil to Pay which stars Smith and fellow TWD actor Adam Boyer, you should check this one out. It is available to stream on Netflix.
