Walking Dead and Dead City actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan was announced to join Prime Video’s The Boys series in its fourth season. Morgan’s fans were overjoyed at the news as the actor and show creator Eric Kripke had long teased Morgan joining the crew of The Boys series.
The Boys’ storyline is known for keeping fans guessing, and this is the case with Morgan’s new character, as little has been revealed. In an interview with The Movie Dweeb, Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir in the series, stated that Morgan’s character is a badass. But that is to be expected if Morgan is involved.
The series is based on comics created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, but the adaptation takes many liberties and shocks fans up to the last minutes of air time with many changes. So even if you have read the comics, you will still see many surprises while viewing the series.
Actor Karl Urban, known for his role as Billy Butcher in the series, announced that filming for season 4 of The Boys had wrapped. He teased fans on social media with an image of him and Morgan for what he says is on a “Cadillac Commercial” set because they aren’t permitted to show any BTS photos from The Boys. Although the photo still reveals nothing about Morgan’s character.

Morgan is dressed in a suit in the photo shared by Urban, so does this mean his role isn’t a Super? Will he join Billy and his gang in taking down Homelander (Antony Starr) and his group? It will be exciting to find out.
Other returning characters for season 4 include:
- Hughie – Jack Quaid
- Kimiko – Karen Fukuhara
- Starlight – Erin Moriarty
- Frenchie – Tomer Capone
- Mother’s Milk – Laz Alonso
- Ryan – Cameron Crovetti
- A-Train – Jessie T. Usher
- The Deep – Chace Crawford
New for season 4, in addition to Morgan, are Susan Heyward, who will play Sister Sage and Valorie Curry as Firecracker.
The release date for The Boys season 4 has yet to be announced.
