Walking Dead actress Cassady McClincy to star in indie thriller The Snare

Actress Cassacy McClincy is known for portraying Lydia in The Walking Dead series. Lydia was the daughter of Whisperer leader Alpha/Dee (Samantha Morton), who left her mother’s group to join the survivors at Hilltop. Deadline reports that McClincy has been cast in a new film, The Snare.
Directed by Merlin Camoizzi in his directorial debut, The Snare is a dramatic thriller that recently wrapped filming in Schenectady, NY. The story is an original by Comoizzi, an MFA graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. The former lawyer used that experience to create the script and serves as executive producer with Kristifor Cvijetic of Grey Star Entertainment, Kareem Mortimer of Best Yet Entertainment, and Jenny Leigh Reed.
The Snare is a story about a young girl Dani, a straight-A student busted with a small amount of drugs. She is then pressured by law enforcement to become an informant making her choose between her loved ones and her hard-earned future.
McClincy stars as Dani and is joined by Dempsey Bryk, Lucy Walters, Royce Johnson, Elizabeth Stahlmann, Esther Zyskind, and Dominic Bogart.

Best known for her role as Lydia in seasons 9-11 of The Walking Dead, McClincy has also starred in other notable roles. She has starred in Ozark, Love, Simon, Castle Rock, Do Revenge, Poor Jane, and more.
Memorial Day weekend 2023 McClincy will be a guest at The Camp Events’ annual charity event in Peachtree City, Georgia. She will be on hand to sign autographs, meet with fans and be part of a panel that weekend.
