The Walking Dead series Summit (working title) will see the return of Rick and Michonne to The Walking Dead universe. Fans have longed for the return of these two characters and want to see them reunited on screen. That wish will come true in 2024 when the new spinoff releases. Filming for the six-episode series is expected to wrap in May 2023. It was recently announced that Lucifer actress Lesley-Ann Brandt had joined the cast of this series, and she has been very active on social media. She recently shared a great BTS photo with a gruesome walker.

Brandt will join Andrew Lincoln and Dania Gurira, who will reprise their roles as Rick and Michonne. She will play a character named Pearl Thorne, of which little is known. She is best known for her role as Maze, a demon from Hell and lovable anti-hero in Lucifer. She has also starred in Spartacus, Horror Noire, Heartlock, The Librarians, Gotham, and Single Ladies. Another upcoming project she will star in is Hanover Street, a drama series with Morgan Freeman.

Recently Brandt teased fans that she had read the final episode of the series and indicated it will be shocking with a series of emojis. This, of course, stirred up more excitement for the series.

The Walking Dead: Summit

Reports have circulated that the Rick and Michonne series will be a limited series, but that has yet to be officially confirmed by AMC. Regardless, viewers anticipate this series to discover what has occurred between the couple since they were separated in season 9 of The Walking Dead.

This series will focus on the epic love story of Rick and Michonne and their reunion. There have been no clues as to whether or not this reunion will include their children Judith and RJ, the son Rick doesn’t even know he has. Fans hope the children will be included as it only makes sense.

The Rick and Michonne series is scheduled to release on AMC and AMC+ in 2024 and will be the sixth spinoff of The Walking Dead.
