The Walking Dead: Dead City trailer features Ozark actress Lisa Emery

AMC has released the long-awaited trailer for the first direct spinoff of The Walking Dead, titled The Walking Dead: Dead City, and this series looks amazing. The city of New York has never looked more apocalyptic, the walkers are a new level of creepy, and this series will be action-packed. Another new reveal from the trailer is that Ozark actress Lisa Emery stars in Dead City. 

This new series will continue the story of The Walking Dead characters Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they battle new enemies that they have tracked to Manhattan. Maggie’s son Hershel (Logan Kim) has been abducted by a man known as The Croat (Željko Ivanek), who has some ties to Negan’s past. Could he be a former Savior?

Add to that a man named Perlie Armstrong (Gaius Charles) is the marshal of New Babylon and is on the hunt for Negan. It is unclear if Perlie and The Croat are working together or not.

The Walking Dead: Dead City – Lisa Emery

Lisa Emery, who played Darlene Snell on the Netflix original series Ozark, was featured in the Dead City trailer. She is an exciting addition to the series and appears to be working with The Croat. Fans of Ozark know Emery is skilled at playing an antagonist, and her line in the trailer, “The ending is all that matters,” feels rather ominous.

Emery is a stage, film, and TV actress known for her roles in Admission, Unfaithful, Wolf, Jessica Jones, Ed, and Cold Souls.

She has also starred in several of the Law & Order series including the original, Criminal Intent, Special Victims Unit, and. Trial by Jury.

Next she will star in a short titled Little Orange Flags. 

Don’t miss Lisa Emery in The Walking Dead: Dead City when it premieres on AMC on Sunday, June 18 at 10 p.m. ET. immediately following Fear the Walking Dead’s season 8 midseason finale.
