World Beyond actor Nicolas Cantu in Netflix’s Skull Island animated series

The Walking Dead: World Beyond actor Nicolas Cantu is well known for his talent as a voice actor. Cantu has voices Dak in the Dragons: Rescue Riders franchise of movies and shows and will voice  Leonardo in the upcoming computer-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.  Bloody Disgusting reports he is now tied to Netflix’s latest animated series Skull Island.

The series is created, written, and directed by Brian Duffield, known for Love and Monsters and The Babysitter. Duffield and Jacob Robinson will serve as executive producers. Skull Island is part of Legendary’s Monsterverse that marks the fifth installment in the franchise and centers around a group of explorers shipwrecked and forced to face the fearsome inhabitants of the island, including Kong.

Netflix will release the new animated series on Tuesday, June 22, 2023.

Nicolas Cantu – The Walking Dead: World Beyond and other roles

Cantu portrayed Elton in The Walking Dead: World Beyond, the third spinoff in TWDU. This limited coming-of-age series focused on a group of young people who grew up after the outbreak. World Beyond would also examine the mysterious CRM (Civic Republic Military).

Other voice roles Cantu is known for include Kid Cosmic, Family Guy, Oddballs, Lego Star Wars: All-Stars & The Freemakers Adventures, Sofia the First, and more. He recently starred in Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans alongside fellow TWDU actor Cooper Dodson (Dylan in Fear TWD).
