Part 1 of Fear the Walking Dead’s eighth and final season quickly flew by, and the midseason finale is already here. The first part of the season has revealed much about PADRE, including the not-so-exciting reveal of who is in charge. The most recent episode, “More Time Than You Know,” saw the death of a beloved character, and now the midseason finale will conclude the first part of the final season. When does the midseason finale air?

This article contains spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead season 8, episode 5, “More Time Than You Know.”

In episode 804, Morgan (Lennie James) returned to King County, Georgia, where he could finally lay his wife and son to rest. Just when things looked like they were making a turn for the better, despite Grace’s (Karen David) revelation that she was sick, she was bitten by a walker.

The next episode saw a race to get Grace to June (Jenna Elfman) so she could use her experimental radiation treatment on Grace’s wound to try and stop the spread of the virus. June had to tend to Finch (Gavin Warren), who the treatment seemed to be working on, then suddenly stopped. Mo (Zoey Merchant) got Grace to the train hospital and administered the radiation with instructions from June, but it was too late. Grace didn’t survive the bite; she turned and attacked her daughter Mo.

Morgan arrived in time to put Grace down before she harmed Mo, proving that he could take care of his daughter. The next episode is titled “All I See Is Red, ” another throwback to The Walking Dead season 3 episode “Clear” when Morgan was out of his mind with grief.
