Walking Dead actor Khary Payton talks about strangest thing fans ask him to sign

Actor Khary Payton is in Australia for this weekend’s Metro Comic Con in Melbourne and chatted with the team at The Project. Even though he was experiencing serious jag lag from the flight he took from LA to Melbourne, he did an amazing job in the interview. Payton is known for his role as King Ezekiel in The Walking Dead and answers questions about the series, Shiva, and the fans.
Since he is in Melbourne for a con, he was asked about the strangest thing fans have asked him to sign or do. Payton replied that people often ask him to sign their bodies, to which he asks, no matter their age, “Does your mom know you are doing this?” He also tells of a woman who got a tattoo of him as Ezekiel before he even appeared in the series.
They talked about whether or not he would go full-on King Ezekiel in an apocalypse, and he says it’s a good way to go. He believes lying to yourself in this situation about the reality of what is happening is the best way to handle an apocalypse.

What else does Khary Payton star in?
Payton continues to voice Cyborg in Teen Titans Go!, which is currently airing its eighth season. He also voices other characters in this series, including Sticky Joe, Couch Spirit, Universe Tree, Halloween Spirit, and more.
He lent his voice talents to the recent The Super Mario Bros. Movie as the voice of Penguin King and has voiced characters in American Dad!, The Legend of Vox Machina, Solar Opposites, and Family Guy, to name a few.
In the adult animated series Invincible, which stars Steven Yeun and other TWD actors, he voiced Markus Grimshaw/Black Samson. He starred in season 1, and according to IMDB, he will appear in the second season of this series, which is due to release in 2023.
Another project Payton is tied to is the upcoming Stray Gods: Roleplaying Musical, a musical video game. Summerfall Studios developed the game and will release it on Aug. 3, 2023.
He will also voice Chameleon/Wayne Johnstein in Avenging Justice Omniverse.
