Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon official release date & new images
By Renee Hansen
AMC has seen much success with the release of the latest spinoff, The Walking Dead: Dead City. This series continues the stories of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), featured in The Walking Dead. The next spinoff to release will be The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and AMC has announced the release date and new images.
Daryl Dixon will see Norman Reedus reprise his role as Daryl, one he has played since 2010 on the main series. This time Daryl’s adventures will take him overseas as he washes ashore in France. He will have no recollection of how or why he is there, but one thing is clear, he only wants to return home.
He will form new connections in France, complicating his journey home. One trailer shows him in an Abbey with some nuns who are either helping him or branding him. This is likely where he will meet Isabelle, portrayed by French actress Clémence Poésy, whose character is a member of a progressive religious group.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon release date
AMC fittingly used the French holiday of Bastille Day to announce that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will release on AMC and AMC+ on Sept. 10, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET. The announcement didn’t specify if this series will release three days early on AMC+ as the recent seasons of Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: Dead City have done. But it is highly like this series will follow suit.
Below are the latest images of the Daryl Dixon series.
We get first-look photos of several new characters.
