The first spinoff in The Walking Dead universe will conclude its story in 2023. Fear the Walking Dead season 8 was announced by AMC as the last season of the series, which began airing in 2015. The series has changed locations numerous times since the story started, and the final season is no different, relocating to Georgia. When does Fear the Walking Dead return?
The final season of Fear the Walking Dead has been broken into two six-episode segments. The first part concluded with a midseason finale in June and saw a significant focus on PADRE and the lead-up to Morgan Jones’ (Lennie James) final episode. Morgan and his daughter Mo (Zoey Merchant) headed north in search of his old friend Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).
The second part of the final season of Fear the Walking Dead will begin airing on October 22 on AMC. The new episodes will be available on AMC+ three days early.
Fear the Walking Dead season 8 part 2
The second half of the season will see Madison (Kim Dickens), a character long thought dead but returned in season 7, aid the children she abducted for PADRE in finding their parents. She will also be reunited with her long-time friend Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) and several others she hasn’t seen in years.
The final episodes will also see the return of a character who was thought to have died in season 3, Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman). Madison beat him in the head with a hammer and he was last seen in the flood waters of the Gonzalez Dam after it was blown up.
The full-length trailer for Fear the Walking Dead season 8 part 2 has yet to be released, but a short teaser reveals that Madison is trying to save PADRE and show the return of Strand.
Season 8, part 2 of Fear the Walking Dead premieres on AMC on Oct. 22, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET. These episodes will be available on AMC+ three days early.
