The Walking Dead: Dead City is the first direct spinoff of The Walking Dead. This series concluded its first season in July 2023. In the new video of Show Me More, the behind-the-scenes series hosted by Clark Wolfe.

This episode features the cast and creators as they talk about the series and give insight into what goes on behind the scenes. The video features commentary by Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Karina Ortiz, Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, Jonathan Higginbotham, and Mahina Napoleon.

Showrunner Eli Jorné and production designer Scott Murphy talk about the unique landscape of Manhattan, vastly different from the main series. Murphy explains that when looking for inspiration for apocalyptic Manhattan, he researched 1970s New York, which was crumbling. He also talks about the difficulties of shutting down streets in Manhattan to film. The filming was done in New York and New Jersey, which allowed for some fantastic backdrops for the series.

There is also a deeper dive into the relationship between Maggie, Negan, and other characters. The showrunner and cast also discuss the new groups and members introduced. This series was full of emotions and betrayal making it one of the best spinoffs in TWDU so far.

The video shows a humorous segment as the cast and crew members try their whistling skills to recreate the Saviors’ whistle. You will be surprised at who is unable to do it!
