Fear the Walking Dead actress Danay Garcia TWDU directorial debut

Actress and podcast host Danay Garcia is well known for her role as Sofia Lugo on Prison Break and Luciana on Fear the Walking Dead. After being absent in the first half of the final season of Fear the Walking Dead, Luciana returns in the second half. This will close out the series’ story, and Garcia has another exciting role in the final season: director.

AMC released new information regarding two of the six remaining episodes for the last season of Fear TWD, and the first episode is directed by Garcia.

She is one of several Fear TWD cast members to step behind the camera. Lennie James, who played Morgan Jones, and Colman Domingo, who portrays Victor Strand, directed three episodes of the series. In season 7, Alycia Debnam-Carey departed the series, but not before directing one of the episodes. Aisha Tyler played Mickey in season 7 of Fear TWD and directed one episode in season 6. She has also directed an episode of The Walking Dead and two of The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

Fear the Walking Dead – Danay Garcia

Garcia was introduced as Luciana Galvez in season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead. She was a member of the Los Colonia community in Tijuana, Baja California. She becomes romantically involved with Nick Clark (Frank Dillanie) but leaves him during season 3.

She would reunite with the group at the Dell Diamond in season 4. After the fall of the Diamond, she remained with the group. When Nick is killed by Charlie (Alexa Nisenson), Luciana is the one who stabs him in the head to ensure he doesn’t reanimate.

She has endured much during her time on the series, and nothing was seen of her in part 1 of the last season. She is featured in the teasers, and this new image has been released, so viewers will see the conclusion of her story before the end of the series.

Don’t miss the exciting premiere of Fear the Walking Dead season 8, part 2 on AMC and AMC+ on October 22.
