Clémence Poésy stars in mini-series with Fear the Walking Dead actor

Clémence Poésy is known for her role as Fleur Delacour in three of the Harry Potter series of films. Currently, she stars in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon as Isabelle, the soft-spoken nun whom Daryl (Norman Reedus) encounters on his overseas adventure in France. In 2022, the actress starred with Frank Dillane, who played Nick on Fear the Walking Dead, in an AppleTV+ mini-series, The Essex Serpent.
Based on the novel by Sarah Perry, which was inspired by actual events, The Essex Serpent is a gothic romance period drama written by Anna Symon and directed by Clio Barnard. The mini-series is available to watch on AppleTV+.
The story follows Cora Seaborne (Claire Danes), now widowed after her abusive husband’s death, who moves from Victorian London to Aldwinter, a small village in Essex. There, she investigates reports of sightings of a mythical serpent. The local pastor and trusted community leader, Will Ransome (Tom Hiddleston), a skeptic, assists in her research surrounding the creature. Events escalate when tragedy strikes, and the locals accuse Cora of attracting the serpent to their village.
The six-episode series has a 75% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.3 on IMDB and was met with favorable reviews overall.

Clémence Poésy portrays Will’s wife Stella, who befriends Cora.
Hayley Squires plays Stella’s servant and close confidante, Martha.
Frank Dillane plays Luke Garrett, a young, ambitious, and headstrong surgeon.
Jamael Westman plays Dr. George Spencer, Garrett’s right-hand man and fellow surgeon.
Additional cast includes Michael Jibson, Gerard Kearns, Dixie Egerickx, Christopher Fairbank, and Gerta Bellamacina.
