One of the best things about The Walking Dead Universe is its relationship with fans. From the airing of the pilot episode “Days Gone By” in 2010 – to the comic books, which will celebrate their 20th anniversary next week. How time flies!

One of the ways for fans to engage with the cast and crew is through social media, panels, and premieres. Back in the days of Talking Dead on AMC, fans had opportunities weekly to ask questions and win prizes. And let’s not forget those lucky enough to have had a surprise visit from special guests on the tour of the TWD set in Senioa, Georgia.

Many of the interactions with fans have been fortunate enough to have with cast members have been thanks to comic conventions worldwide. And the United Kingdom is no exception to getting a fair share of cast visits for these events. Another one, currently featuring two actors from TWD, is on the way very soon!

Walking Dead guests at Wales Convention

Walking Dead fans in England have had a lucky time this year with getting a chance to meet some of their favorite actors from the franchise. Khary Payton and Paola Lazaro spent the weekend meeting fans in Manchester a few months ago. Wales Comic Con: Telford Takeover will see Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel) and Ryan Hurst (Beta) ready to meet and greet fans.

Wales Comic Con takes place November 18 and 19, 2023, at the Telford International Centre and is open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, with a shorter day on Sunday. The hours are from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. However, if you hold a priority ticket, you can access the venue from 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. So you can get first dibs on merchandise!

Other guests include Warwick Davis (Harry Potter Star Wars), Henry Thomas (E.T.), and Nestor Carbonell (Lost, Bates Motel). Ryan Hurst and Seth Gilliam will appear across the whole weekend. It is still unconfirmed if there will be a panel featuring them.

There is also a chance that more TWDU guests may be confirmed in the weeks leading toward the convention. It’s not uncommon for a few last-minute guests. Wouldn’t that be lovely!
