The Walking Dead universe is one of the most immersive in TV. It was not a surprise that it was one of the most-watched series of all time and stood the test of time for twelve years, and there is still so much that fans want to see.

Luckily, the showrunners have been very busy getting their teeth into several new ideas and concepts for us to enjoy. The upcoming spin-offs will feature some of the best characters in the show. Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan will reprise Negan and Maggie for Dead City on June 18, 2023. Norman Reedus will return as Daryl Dixon this year in a show of the same name as our favorite crossbow warrior. Next year, Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira return as Rick and Michonne in Summit (working title).

However, amongst this new content comes some news about potential new episodes of Tales of The Walking Dead entitled More Tales of The Walking Dead. This news gives fans the potential to see some epic stories of characters. However, what ideas do fans want to see on screen?

More Tales of The Walking Dead: 5 episodes fans want

5. Glenn’s backstory

Fan favorite Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) was one of the strongest fighters in the apocalypse until he was taken too soon by Negan in 701, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be,” in front of his family. A tragic end to his story indeed. However, this does not have to be the last of what we discover about him. Perhaps an episode looking into his upbringing and life as a pizza delivery driver right up to the moment he met Rick.

It would be cool to see little details like the first time he got his iconic red hat worn by his son Herschel Rhee. But also perhaps when he began to see the world change and how he used his knowledge of the roads in Atlanta to scout. There is so much to work with for his character.

2. When Althea met Abraham and Eugene

Ok, so this is something I want to see! During the midseason finale of Fear The Walking Dead, 408, “No One’s Gone,” in Althea’s videotaped interviews, she had one labeled, ‘Abe/Dr,’ which points to Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) and Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) from their travels in Texas. I would love to see the Worlds between these two shows collide again and the meeting between these characters and what they got up to.

3. Rick Grimes 2000

This theory is a long shot. Skybound Comic Rick Grimes 2000  would be out of this world – literally! Who would not want to see Rick Grimes fighting aliens in space with the rest of the survivors wielding light-saber-like weapons? It would be a crazy story, unlike anything we have seen before, and an alternate reality to the other episodes. It would be fun and great to see all of our favorites reunite!

4. Rise of the Woodbury

A classic TWD location and community giving a throwback to the early days. It would be interesting to see The Governor (David Morrissey) reunite with Milton (Dallas Roberts) and show their early relationship. Plus, seeing the community in the early stages would be cool as it would show the rise in Phillip Blake’s ego and his relationship with his wife and daughter.

5. A world where zombies exist

It is no secret that the word ‘zombie’ does not exist in The Walking Dead. Hence their uses of words such as walker, deadheads, and empties. But imagine if they already knew what a zombie was. They may have been differently equipped or would not have used other words to describe the zombies. I think there would be a huge difference!

There are many ideas and possibilities that the series could do to make this season full of shocks we never saw coming and unlock secrets we never knew. Whatever they do – I cannot wait to see anything TWDU does next. There are too many more stories!
