The Last Voyage of the Demeter stars Walking Dead actor Corey Hawkins and is another chapter in the story of Dracula. Universal announced October 17 as the digital, Blu-ray, and DVD release date.

Bloody Disgusting shared the details of this announcement, revealing the release will include over 30 minutes of bonus material. The bonus features include over 30 minutes of exclusive material, including an alternate opening, behind-the-scenes featurettes of the making of the movie, and deleted scenes. Hawkins portrays a physician named Clemens who is making his way back to England and books passage on the Demeter. André Øvredal, known for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, directs this adaptation of one chapter of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, “The Captain’s Log.” This chapter tells of the fateful voyage of the Demeter, a Russian schooner chartered to carry 50 unmarked crates of private cargo. Each night, the passengers become more paranoid as members begin disappearing.

Another Walking Dead tie-in with this movie is that Bear McCreary served as the composer. He is well known for many outstanding projects, including The Walking Dead series.
