Variety reports that former Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs, who played Carl Grimes, and Glenn Stanton, who played Frost in season 11, have been cast in a new horror-comedy set to begin production soon. The film titled Hacked is an indie production that has made an interim agreement with SAG-AFTRA to proceed with production while the strikes are ongoing.

Actual events inspired writer, director, and actor Shane Brady’s new comedy-horror Hacked. Brady and executive producer Emily Zercher were hacked in 2021, and the film begins with that story. The remainder of the film showcases untrue events of “what they wish they could have done to that bastard.” The film marks Brady’s second feature film and the second produced by Zercher.

Production begins soon in Los Angeles and Tampa.

The official synopsis for the film:

"“Hacked follows the story of a family who loses everything to a prolific and elusive hacker, aptly named ‘The Chameleon.’ Parents Amy (Augie Duke) and Mark (Shane Brady) have $20,000 stolen, and their kids Ralph (Owen Atlas) and Freddy (Collin Thompson) get their entire digital lives hacked — social media, video game items, even their pointless online homework! When the bank, social media platforms, and law enforcement aren’t able to help, the family takes matters into their own hands.”"

The film stars Chandler Riggs, Glenn Stanton, Owen Atlas, Collin Thompson, Augie Duke, Hugh Scott, Brittney Escalante, and Elyssa Kim.

What else does Glenn Stanton star in?

Stanton portrayed Frost on The Walking Dead, a member of Maggie’s (Lauren Cohan) group, the Wardens. He was the one the Reapers, along with Daryl, beat the holy heck out of at Meridian.

He is well known for his roles in Chicago Fire, Rosewood, The Son, 4400, and more.

IMDB has several upcoming projects listed for Stanton, including a drama, Penitentia, a comedy short, I Propose We Break Up, and an animated fantasy, The Ancients.

Chandler Riggs upcoming holiday movie

Riggs will star in a holiday drama, Breakup Season, filmed in  La Grande, Oregon, in early 2023. The indie production will circulate in film festivals, followed by a VOD and/or theatrical release in the 2024 holiday season. Riggs leads alongside  Samantha Isler, with James Urbaniak, Jacob Wysocki, Brook Hogan, Carly Stewart, and Kailey Rhodes also starring.

The film, written and directed by H. Nelson Tracey, follows Ben (Riggs), who heads to his hometown in Oregon to spend the holidays. He brings his girlfriend (Isler) to meet his family, and nothing goes as planned.

Riggs has also been announced as a return guest to The Camp Events annual event held in Peachtree City, GA, on Memorial Day weekend. In 2023, Riggs appeared at the event for the first time and enjoyed it so much that he will return in 2024. This event is a celebrity meet and greet charity event unlike any you have ever attended.
