The Walking Dead: Destinies release dates, change the destiny of TWD

AMC and GameMill have excited The Walking Dead universe gamers with the announcement of The Walking Dead: Destinies, a new choice-driven third-party gaming experience. The game’s initial reveal came in August 2023; when is the release date?

Destinies will focus on the series’ first four seasons, allowing players to alter the original story. Game play begins as Rick Grimes when he wakes from a coma to find himself alone in the hospital in a world overrun by the undead. From that point, players can choose the narrative of the story, creating their own “What if…” scenario.  This means Rick could die, and Shane could live, or any number of other stories where onscreen deaths could be avoided.

The game takes players to many well-known locations within TWDU, including Woodbury, Atlanta, the prison, and Hershel’s farm.

This is an exciting concept as viewers who were never satisfied with the outcome of events from the early seasons can change it to their liking.

When does TWD Destinies release?

The Walking Dead: Destinies game release dates:

• Digitally, on November 17
• Physical game on December 1, 2023, for Xbox and Playstation.
• Nintendo Switch (physical) on January 16, 2024.

Players can choose from several original characters, including Rick, Lori or Carl Grimes, Shane, Merle or Daryl Dixon, T-Dog, Glenn, Michonne, or the Governor. There will also be a great choice of weapons to fight off the undead or anyone else who gets in your way. Choose from Rick’s revolver, Daryl’s crossbow, Carol’s knife, and Shane’s shotgun.

The concept of this game has excited the fandom with the possibility of altering the story shown in the series.
