Actor Matt Lintz is well known for his role as Bruno in the Disney+/Marvel series Ms. Marvel, Stevie Taggert in The Alienist, and Henry in The Walking Dead. His family is heavily involved in The Walking Dead universe as his brother Macsen played the younger version of Henry, and his sister Madison portrayed Sophia Peletier in seasons 1 and 2. When does Henry die in the series?

Henry is introduced in the season 7 episode “The Well.” He and his older brother Benjamin (Logan Miller) are residents of the Kingdom and are seen eating with Morgan Jones (Lennie James). Benjamin explains that his father and King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) were close friends until his father was killed while he cleared walkers from a building.

When Benjamin is killed by Shitty Jared (Josh Mickel), one of Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) Saviors, Henry vows to exact his revenge for his brother’s death. His anger often clouds his judgment, but after experiencing a near-death event, he begins to adopt the pacifist philosophies of Morgan.

He is eventually adopted by Ezekiel and Carol (Melissa McBride) and goes on to prove himself to be compassionate and intuitive when he assists Lydia (Cassady McClincey), to whom he forms a romantic attachment, to remember the truth about her childhood.

The Walking Dead – Henry’s death

“The Calm Before” is the fifteenth episode of season 9 of The Walking Dead that features a horrific mass death at the hands of Alpha (Samantha Morton), leader of the Whisperers.

Our survivors disobey the boundaries set by Alpha on more than one occasion. To prove that she intends for these boundaries to be obeyed, the Whisperers abduct a group of the survivors to make a statement. And does it ever.

Henry, along with Ozzy (Angus Sampson), Alek (Jason Kirkpatrick), D.J. (Matt Mangum), Frankie (Elyse Nicole DuFour), Tammy Rose (Brett Butler), Rodney (Joe Ando Hirsh), Addy (Kelly Mack), Enid (Katelyn Nacon), and Tara (Alanna Masterson) were all killed and their heads displayed on pikes. This served as a warning regarding Alpha’s rules to coexist without bloodshed.

Henry’s death was a massive blow to his mother, Carol, who had already lost several children since the outbreak. This strained her relationship with Ezekiel, and they divorced. His death also left a mark on Lydia, and it took her quite a while to embark in a new romantic relationship.
