What Walking Dead actor plays Evie in New Amsterdam? (Margot Bingham)

In September 2023, the wildly popular medical drama New Amsterdam was released on Netflix. Know for her role in The Walking Dead as Max in season 11, Margot Bingham also portrayed Evie in the NBC series New Amsterdam.
Created by David Schulner (Desperate Housewives and Reverie), New Amsterdam is based on Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellvue Hospital. The series originally premiered in September 2018 and would run until the series finale in January 2023.
The series ran for five seasons, three of which Bingham played Evie Garrison, associate director of the Legal Department of New Amsterdam Medical Center. The series also stars Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, Tyler Labine, and Sandra Mae Frank. The series also boasts several notable guest stars, including Frankie J. Alvarez, Bill Irwin, Marlee Matlin, Frankie Muniz, and Mercedes Ruehl.
The series follows Dr. Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) when he becomes the medical director of New Amsterdam Medical Center, one of the oldest hospitals in the United States. As the new director, Goodwin aspires to reform the facility to provide exceptional patient care.

She is known for her role as Max Mercer in The Walking Dead and appeared in a panel with fellow Walking Dead actors Teo Rapp-Olson and Josh Hamilton, who portrayed Sebastian Milton and Lance Hornsby in the series. What’s next for Margot Bingham?
On November 5, Bingham will star in Taylor Sheridan’sLawmen: Bass Reeves. The newest release in Sheridan’s universe tells of a legendary lawman of the Old West, Bass Reeves. Reeves would begin as a slave and then become the first U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi. He would arrest over 3,000 outlaws during his career, but his career would take a toll on his morals and his family life.
