Josh Hamilton has kept himself busy as of late with several new roles worthy of a watch. He starred in an episode of the anthology series Accused, the HBO film Reality, and the Jennifer Garner led The Last Thing He Told Me series. He is currently starring in the stage production of Scene Partners in New York. Next, he will star with Bradley Cooper in the biological drama Maestro.

The movie is directed by Cooper, following his Oscar-nominated directorial debut, A Star Is Born, which he produced with Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. The film is a biopic of American composer Leonard Bernstein and the love story of his 25-year marriage with Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein, which lasted until she died in 1978. It tells of their careers’ ups and downs. Over the course of their marriage, the couple had three children.

Netflix’s official synopsis for Maestro:

"“Maestro is a towering and fearless love story chronicling the lifelong relationship between cultural icon Leonard Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. A love letter to life and art, Maestro, at its core, is an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love.”"

Maestro will premiere in a limited number of theaters on November 22, followed by a December 20 premiere on Netflix. The film premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2023, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion.
