Fear the Walking Dead’s series finale has set up all the main characters for possible spinoff stories. While no spinoff plans have been announced, fans are hopeful they will see some of their favorites in future series. One potential story could tie to the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol.

Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) will join the Daryl Dixon series in the second season. In the fifth episode of the first season, viewers learn new information about what took place before Daryl traveled across the sea to France. While working at a camp in Maine that rounded up walkers in exchange for fuel, Daryl contacted Carol at the Commonwealth via radio. Her voice revealed her distress, and Daryl tried to discover the source. Before she could tell him everything, the connection was cut off.

She was able to convey to him that someone or something had returned. Many fans believed it could be Rick (Andrew Lincoln), while some thought that perhaps Ezekiel’s (Khary Payton) cancer may have returned. I, and many others, have posed the theory that Dwight (Austin Amelio) is the one who has returned. She was reluctant to tell Daryl because, after the All Out War, he warned Dwight never to return once he allowed him to go in search of Sherry (Christine Evangelista).

In the final season of Fear the Walking Dead, Dwight, in a state of uncertainty after losing his son Finch (Gavin Warren) and breaking from his wife Sharry, returned to his old home and the Sanctuary. The former home of the Saviors was a place of significant distress to him as he and Sherry suffered greatly while under Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) rule.

By the final episode, he had reconciled with Sherry. After the fall of PADRE, the couple decided that the Sanctuary is a place that is well fortified and would serve as a great location to house the children of PADRE while they search for their parents.

This could tie into the second season of the Daryl Dixon series, which is known as The Book of Carol. This season will show Carol’s journey to find Daryl, and she could run into Dwight and Sherry during her search. While their appearance may be brief, seeing how they have progressed in their mission would be interesting.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol will premiere on AMC and AMC+ in 2024.

Next. Will AMC create Fear the Walking Dead spinoffs? If so, one vital thing must be done. dark
