The thriller is set in a sleepy Southern town in the Ozark Mountains, where star-crossed lovers Lucas Frost (Magnussen) and his fiancee Emma (Shipp) try to make a life for themselves away from Lucas’s violent family life. He is honest but finds himself pulled back into the family business, which he detests. Things go south when his cousin commits an armed robbery where an innocent life is taken. Stahl plays Tuck, Lucus’ half-brother, who is jealous and insecure.
