Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs filming new movie in Tampa Bay

Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs was cast in the role of Carl Grimes at the age of 10. He would portray Carl until he died in 2018, which many believe ruined the series. Riggs has kept himself busy with many other projects since then and will now star as a bad guy in a new film, Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma, filmed in Tampa Bay, Florida.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that filming for Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma is underway. Movie producer, writer, director, and star Shane Brady says, “This movie is written to take place in Tampa Bay.”
The movie features notable Tampa Bay locations such as Big Storm Brewing Co., J.C. Newman Cigar Co., Clearwater’s Pier 60, Dunedin’s Honeymoon Island, and the Jose Gasparilla II pirate ship docked at Bayshore Boulevard in downtown Tampa. The production made quite an impression as a body bag was dragged through the downtown streets. Producer Emily Zercher assured onlookers that it was just a prop, laughingly stating, “Don’t worry, the body is a prop, everyone. Apparently, using a real one is against the law.”
According to the report, the movie is cartoonishly violent and is partly based on Brady’s experience with a hacker who conned him out of $20,000. The movie shows the middle-class family exacting revenge on the hacker, The Chameleon, whom Riggs portrays.
Another Walking Dead alum, Glenn Stanton, also stars in the film as Detective Dugas. Stanton portrayed Frost, a member of the Warden’s, Maggie’s (Lauren Cohan) new group. He was tortured and killed by Daryl (Norman Reedus) and the Reapers in the final season.
Owen Atlas, Collin Thompson, Augie Duke, Hugh Scott, Brittney Escalante, and Elyssa Kim also star.
