The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart – Alycia Debnam-Carey
The Prime Video series premiered in August 2023, with the first three episodes focusing on a young Alice Hart (Aylya Browne). The fourth episode features a time jump, and this is where Debnam-Carey begins her role as 24-year-old Alice.
An adaptation of Holly Ringland’s novel, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, was adapted for the screen by showrunner Sarah Lambert. The story begins with Alice’s back story of a violent upbringing and her eventual loss of both parents, making her an orphan. She is then placed in the care of her grandmother (Weaver) on her flower farm, Thornfield. When she returns as an adult, Alice uncovers new information about her family’s past, which allows her to grow.
