Actor, author, and photographer Norman Reedus is best known for his role in The Walking Dead as Daryl Dixon. Reedus has portrayed this character since 2010 and has gone on to a spinoff series focused on this character, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Many fans know he is an avid photographer, but did you also know he is an author? His first novel, The Ravaged, is, once again, available on his website.
The Ravaged is Reedus’ debut novel and is now available with an autographed bookplate on his website Big Bald Gallery just in time for Christmas.
The book is written by Reedus with co-author Frank Bill, who also wrote The Savage and Donnybrook.
The Ravaged, a best seller on the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today lists, follows three fast-paced storylines that run parallel. Reedus previously described the story as “a story of hope and growing up” in a gritty, in-your-face manner.

The first book deal was supposed to feature a story of Reedus’ life. But, the humble guy that he is wasn’t thrilled with that topic. He decided to create a work of fiction based on people he has encountered during his life. Readers are sure to find parts of themselves in at least one of the characters featured in the book.
The Ravaged hardback was first released in May 2022, with the paperback released one year later.
Reedus has reported that he has begun work on a second novel that will feature more parallel stories. He would like the audiobook to be read by several people as a play.
