Actress Sarah Wayne Callies is known for her role as Lori Grimes on The Walking Dead. Before she was cast on TWD, she starred in Fox’s drama series Prison Break as Sara Tancredi. Now Callies and Prison Break co-star Paul Adelstein, who played Agent Paul Kellerman, will host a re-watch podcast.
In November 2023, Deadline announced that Hulu is working on a reboot of the series that will be written and executive produced by Elgin James, known for Mayans M.C. Details have yet to be revealed, but the new series is a new chapter set in the world of the original Prison Break.
The podcast, Prison Breaking with Sarah and Paul, will launch in January 2024 under Callies’ and producing partner Ben Haber’s new podcast studio, Caliber Studios. Callies and Adelstein will rewatch episodes of the series as they take a behind-the-scenes look at each one. The series will feature many guests, including writers, directors, crew members, and cast of Prison Break.
Sarah Wayne Callies Aftershock podcast
Over two years ago, Callies created a scripted podcast, Aftershock. The story is a dramatic thriller set in Los Angeles when the largest earthquake in US history rocks the West Coast. During the quake, hundreds of thousands are killed, and an island forms along the coast of L.A.
Aftershock season 1 was recorded during the pandemic and would be the first time Callies has written, directed, produced, and starred in a project. While growing up in Hawaii, Callies thought of a story about an island forming from nothing. This led her to imagine who would go there and why. Callies has stated, ” At its heart, it’s a story about forgiveness and second chances.”
The season features three Walking Dead actors, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Austin Amelio, and Tovah Feldshuh, who are joined by Stranger Things’ David Harbour, Tati Gabrielle, Janel Parrish, Russell Hornsby, Rockmond Dunbar, Bethany Joy Lenz, Michael O’Neill, and EJ Bonilla.
In August 2023, the second season of Aftershock premiered. You can listen to both seasons on Spotify (below) or wherever you listen to podcasts.
