AMC has created a series of shows set in The Walking Dead universe that continues stories of fan -favorite characters like Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier. One such spinoff titled Dead City features the on going stories of the unlikely pairing of Maggie and Negan. The series is set to premiere its second season in 2025, has AMC announced the premiere date?
When the announcement that a Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) spinoff was in the works, fans thought it seemed an absurd idea to pair the long-time enemies in a storyline. But the first season proved that while things were still tense between the two there is much story to feature.
AMC recently announced that season 2 of The Walking Dead: Dead City would premiere on AMC and AMC+ beginning May 4. This was an exciting announcement as the first season teamed up the duo but it appears things in season 2 will pit them on opposite sides.
With the premiere announcement, AMC also released the opening minutes of the season, which show walkers being harvested from the Manhattan streets and liquified into goo that powers the city. As Negan states in the official teaser, "Power equals power."
