IGN Fan Fest is back for its fifth year, and The Walking Dead: Dead City was included in the 2025 Fan Fest event, which features exclusive reveals, trailers, and more for upcoming movies, shows, games, comics, and anime. Fans waited in the chat for quite some time to learn anything new regarding the second season of Dead City.
Dead City was included on day 2 of Fan Fest and featured in the Horror Showcase with The Monkey, Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, In the Lost Lands, Fear Street: Prom Queen, The Last Breath, Until Dawn, The Alters, and more.
IGN conducted interviews with Dead City stars and executive producers Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, as well as Chief Content Officer of TWD Scott M. Gimple. Viewers were also treated to the first minutes of the opening episode of season 2.
Cohan discusses Maggie's situation as the new season opens. She is caring for two teens, her son Hershel (Logan Kim) and Ginny (Mahina Napoleon), and things aren't as rosy as Maggie would like them to be.
Morgan talked about Negan being under the thumb of the Dama and the Croat and that he finds himself on unfamiliar ground.

Dead City season 2 cast
Cohan and Morgan will return as Maggie and Negan, and other returning actors include Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, Mahina Napoleon, Logan Kim, and Lisa Emery.
Newly added cast members for the upcoming season include Kim Coats (American Primeval, Sons of Anarchy), Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black), Jake Weary (It Follows), Keir Gilchrist (It's Kind of a Funny Story), and Pooya Mohseni (Madam Secretary).
