This news was also reiterated during San Diego Comic-Con, when the chief content officer for The Walking Dead, Scott Gimple, revealed that we'd have to wait longer than expected for the final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
Throughout this time, AMC hadn't officially announced the delay, but now it has finally been confirmed through an Instagram post. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 4 will be coming our way next year, although a specific release date still eludes us.
All three seasons of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon released so far have premiered in September, which could signal that AMC may look to hold onto this release window moving forward. Besides, there's no rush to get the last season of the spin-off show on air as soon as possible, given that there are no official announcements about what will come after it.
