Fear the Walking Dead actor Austin Amelio most recently starred in the crime thriller When No One Sees Us, which is streaming on Max. Amelio is well-known for his portrayal of Dwight in The Walking Dead and its first spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead.
The series is an adaptation of Sergio Sarria's novel and is the first Spanish-produced series for Max. When No One Sees Us (in Spanish: Cuando nadie nos ve) was created by Daniel Corpas, written by Arturo Ruiz, and directed by Enrique Urbizu. The series premiered on the streamer on March 7 and aired the season finale on April 25. All eight episodes are now available to stream.
The story is set during Holy Week in the town of Morón de la Frontera, where the Morón Air Base is located. A Civil Guard sergeant investigates an unusual suicide while a lieutenant from the Air Force Office of Special Investigations arrives seeking information regarding a missing US Airman.
Mariela Garriga leads the series as Sergeant Lucía Gutiérrez with Maribel Verdú as Lieutenant Magaly Castillo. Amelio portrays Sergeant Andrew Taylor and Ben Temple, Dani Rovira, and Lucía Jiménez also star.
The New York Times' Margaret Lyons praises the series stating that it is "one of the better foreign-crime dramas in ages — focused, beautiful, sturdy but artful."

Amelio said goodbye to this Walking Dead universe character, Dwight, in the eighth and final season of Fear TWD. His character was one of several crossover characters from the main series, and the ending of his story was set up in a way that could be continued in a spinoff. Only time will tell if Dwight will be seen again in another series.
The actor appeared in the Netflix movie Hit Man starring Glen Powell. This movie reunites Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater with Powell and Amelio, who appeared in his 1980s teen comedy Everybody Wants Some!!
He also stars in the indie film Bunnylovr that debuted at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Amelio is also known for his roles in Mercy Black, Stumptown, and several short films, including Lovebug, The Laundromat Off Malibu, and more.
