Fear the Walking Dead's Colman Domingo to direct his first feature film
By Renee Hansen
Fear the Walking Dead actor Colman Domingo said goodbye to Victor Strand in the eighth and final season of the series in 2023. He was one of a short list of characters who appeared in every season of The Walking Dead spinoff. Recently, he has starred in some phenomenal titles like Rustin, The Color Purple musical, Sing Sing, and more. Deadline reports that the Sammy Davis Jr. movie Scandalous, directed by Domingo, has its cast and is ready to begin filming soon.
The film has been fast tracked by Miramax and will see Domingo's Euphoria co-star portray film star Kim Novak with David Jonsson as singer and dancer Sammy Davis Jr. According to Deadline filming will begin after Domingo and Sweeney complete the third season of HBO's Euphoria.
Sweeney will once again star and produce, as she did in the Netflix rom-com Anyone But You, with Tani Cohen and Bobby Rock, with Jon Levin exec producing from the script written by Matthew Fantaci.
The story follows the love story of Vertigo star Novak and Sammy Davis Jr., famed members of the Rat Pack. The couple met on The Steve Allen Show and after which fell hard for one another. During this time rumors where rampant and their relationship threatened both their careers, due to the racism in the US.
