Fear the Walking Dead's Alycia Debnam-Carey said goodbye to Alicia Clark in Nov. 2023. The Walking Dead spinoff aired for eight seasons, all of which Debnam-Carey appeared. She has had several roles since then, with her newest in a Netflix true-ish crime drama, Apple Cider Vinegar, with Emmy Award and Golden Globe-nominated Kaitlyn Dever.

The Australian series is produced by See-Saw Films, directed by Jeffrey Walker (H2O: Just Add Water), and created by Samantha Strauss (Dance Academy, Nine Perfect Strangers). Strauss wrote the series with Anya Beyersdorf and Angela Betzien, and they drew inspiration from Beau Donelly and Nick Toscano's book The Woman Who Fooled the World.

The story tells of Belle Gibson and Milla Blake, who soon after the launch of Instagram, decide to use the platform to gain notoriety by chronicling their journeys using health and wellness to cure their life-threatening illnesses. The story seems inspiring as they influence their global audiences to a path of wellness, too bad its all a lie.

Netflix describes the series as: true-ish story based on a lie, about the rise and fall of a wellness empire; the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.

Debnam-Carey stars as Milla and Dever plays Belle. Aisha Dee joins them as Milla's friend Chanelle. Additional cast members include Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Mark Coles Smith, Ashley Zukerman, Susie Porter, Matt Nable, Phoenix Raei, Chai Hansen, Rick Davies, Kieran Darcy-Smith, Catherine McClements and Essie Davis.

The official trailer for Apple Cider Vinegar highlights the first meeting of Belle and Milla, who quickly become rivals. At one point, Milla is heard telling someone on the phone "I want to destroy her."

Apple Cider Premieres on Netflix on Feb. 6, check out the official trailer below.
