You know those "hottest celebrity couples" lists? We know which couple definitely deserves a spot. That would be The Walking Dead's Hilarie Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan! Have you seen these two amazingly talented actors together? Talk about power couple turning heads and stealing the spotlight everywhere they go. I mean, the story of how they got together is straight out of a romantic movie itself!
Morgan recently hosted NBC's newest reality competition series, Destination X, and according to Burton, he received a lot of attention from moms at their kids' schools because of this hosting gig. In an interview with People back in July 2025, Burton opened up about how amused she was by hearing all the stories of moms crushing on her husband. She even mentioned how she had been getting texts from old high school friends saying their wives or moms were smitten with him as well.

"I have just thoroughly enjoyed all the moms at school having a crush on him. I keep getting text messages from high school friends, and they're all like, 'My wife or my mom has a huge crush on your husband.'"
While some women might not be okay with their husbands getting attention from other women, Burton seems to be completely relaxed about it and even encourages the admiration. Essentially, she told People that she fully supports and welcomes the fact that people admire her husband because he’s genuinely a "great" person. In other words, she's confident and happy about her husband’s charm and popularity.
Although Burton was talking about Morgan, she's a total catch herself. I'm pretty sure the dads at their kids' schools are just as smitten with her as the moms are with Morgan. Now, how would Morgan feel about his wife getting that kind of attention? That's something we don't know as of right now. However, he'd probably have a similar outlook to his wife and find the whole situation amusing and flattering.
In 2009, Morgan began dating Burton after they were introduced on a blind date arranged by Jensen Ackles (Morgan’s co-star on the show Supernatural) and Ackles's wife Danneel. Danneel had worked with Burton before on the TV show One Tree Hill. Morgan and Burton later had a son, who was born on March 14, 2010. Then, eight years later, they welcomed their daughter.
However, the couple wouldn't get married until Oct. 5, 2019, when they finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony officiated by Ackles himself. Many fans had thought they had jumped the broom earlier, but that turned out not to be the case.
Although Morgan and Burton are both in the acting world, they haven’t actually worked together on many projects. The main project that they appeared in together was The Walking Dead, where Morgan played the iconic villain Negan, and Burton had a guest role as Lucille, Negan’s late wife. Morgan currently reprises his role in the spinoff series The Walking Dead: Dead City. Burton returned in her Lucille role in this same spinoff for one episode of the second season.
