Actor Michael Cudlitz is well known for several notable roles throughout his career. Most recently, he portrayed Lex Luther in the third and fourth seasons of the CW series Superman and Lois.

Walking Dead fans fondly remember him as Abraham Ford, who was introduced in season 4 with his travel companions Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) and Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos). Abe was a brave, hot-headed survivor who could always be counted on for great one-liners. In the season 7 opener, he, along with Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), were bludgeoned to death with Lucille, the coveted weapon of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Cudlitz's first role was in a short film Crystal Ball (1989), which led to many other roles, including Tony on Beverly Hills 90210, Tad in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, and appearances on 24, Lost, Standoff, and Prison Break.

In 1992, he appeared in the movie A River Runs Through It, and in 1997 played Bob Destepello in Grosse Point Blank.

His breakout role came in 2001 when he was cast as Sergent Denver "Bull" Randleman in the critically acclaimed WWII series Band of Brothers. The series was created by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks and won Emmy and Golden Globe awards for best miniseries.

Cudlitz won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2013 for his role as John Cooper in the five-season drama Southland.

Fans loved Cudlitz's portrayal of Mike Cleary in the ABC sitcom The Kids Are Alright. The story followed Mike and his wife Peggy (Mary McCormack) as they raised eight sons in suburban Los Angeles in 1972. The series was praised for its classic sitcom feel, but despite the accolades, ABC canceled the series after one season.

The Silence Is Over

In 2021, Cudltiz joined the cast of Clarice, a crime drama based on The Silence of the Lambs novel, that is set between the 1991 film and Hannibal (2001). The story follows FBI agent Clarice Sterling as she returns to field after the events of the first movie. Cudlitz portrayed Paul Krendler, the head of the Violent Criminals Apprehension Program.

His most recent roles include Unspoken, Beautiful Disaster, Manifest West, and Red Stone.

Cudlitz is known for his voice work as Sargent Glenn "Hawk" Hawkins in the video game Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and provided additional voices for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
